The Prince: Book by Niccolò Machiavelli.

Yessss! That’s what defines a true prince —- and princess 🙂

  3. I love the image you chose to illustrate your point….and it’s so very true. We need to look deeper than the surface, that’s what all the fairy tales tell us 🙂

I always liked T.H. White’s “Once and Future King” that he made Lancelot not very attractive. Guinevere falls in love because he saves a man’s life through breathing life into him. (During a joust and she is impressed and somehow being young, she falls in love with him. ) Your poem mentions loving the inside (soul) of the person…

When we are young, we believe the fairytales that tell us that love is an instant feeling that happens when we lay eyes on our soul mate. I have come to realize that love only truly happens many feelings past that initial infatuation. Love grows from what is in the persons’ soul. That is where you will truly find your soul mate. It is not a feeling, it is many feelings based on real kindness, mutual respect, shared feelings, shared souls, and many other things beyond infatuation. I just think that so many people “fall” for the feeling and mistakenly think it is love. (Myself included) 🙂

I love feedback, please tell me what you think.
